What I do
I'm a portrait photographer based on the Gold Coast, Queensland who loves to work with families, couples and children to create unforgettable photographs. I love to play with light and shadow during the magic time of "golden hour " to bring the love and connection you shared with your loved ones. I also offer in-home lifestyle sessions for families who are more relaxed at home. My goal is to capture the love, joy and connection you all shared and turn it into artwork for you to cherish for years to come.
What brings me to the world of photography?
If you ask me what my favourite childhood memory is, one of them has to be sitting in the darkroom alongside my father and watching him develop films. To my limited imagination, I couldn’t understand why those portraits can appear on a little piece of paper as soon as they are merged under a thin layer of water. But one thing I do know is that my love of photography is based on those early years experiences and when my own child was born 30 years later, I knew I wanted to capture every stage of his life in a way that was more meaningful than just snapshots. So I picked up the camera that had been gathering dust in my drawer for a good amount of years, started to click away and never looked back.
My Style
My style is warm, deep and rich. I love to shoot during 'golden hour'; this is the time when the sky goes from red and orange to yellow or, as its name suggests, golden tones, the lighting is soft, and it creates a warm and magical effect. Inspired by light, I delight in capturing the perfect pocket of light along with genuine human connection. Light is everything when it comes to photography; it can make an ordinary moment extraordinary and a mundane scene remarkable. By mixing the lovely light rays shining through the trees in our serene parks or the breathtaking hinterland, or that enchanted time on our beautiful beaches, I strive to capture these moments filled with joy and love of you and your loved ones.
